Texas cattlemen can now become certified Beef Quality Assurance (BQA) producers by simply logging on to and completing and interactive online training course. Part of the Texas Beef Quality Producer program, the free online training allows producers to learn BQA practices at their convenience. "The BQA course provides cattlemen the necessary information ot implement best management practices to ensure food safety. We have trained producers throughout the state for many years in classroom style trainings. The new online course gives us one more avenue in reaching and educating ranchers about the BQA program," said Ron Gill, beef cattle specialist, Texas AgriLife Extension. For more information go to
