You have stumbled upon the newly created blog for the Tailgate News. Which is a newsletter and radio show created by me, Cooperative Extension Agent, Rene' McCracken for limited resource agriculture producers in Northeast Texas. Every extension agent has there specialties and I am no exception. I have a MS in Poultry Business Management, but have a herd of registered and commercial Boer and Nubian cross meat goats. I have additional interests in marketing, advertising and starting up small business since I have recently (March 07) become co-owner in a small retail feed store call County Line Feed & Fertilizer in Henderson, TX. I plan to utilize this blog to place articles, newsletters and other quick tips that I find that help producers and myself stay on top of the latest management techniques to make it through this recession.
